Scottish Elopement Photographer | Guillaume & Juliette - Ben A’an

The thing that I love about weddings in Scotland is that you can get married pretty much anywhere. If you and a celebrant and a couple of witnesses can get there, you can be married there. Guillaume and Juliette did just that. They travelled from the South of France to the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Aberfoyle to get hitched. I had the absolute honour of being asked to be Guillaume & Juliette’s adventure elopement photographer. They initially contacted me back in 2019 with regards to an elopement in Glencoe. This was postponed a couple of times due to Br**it and C**id … A few date changes and a venue change later, their Scottish elopement actually happened!

Celebrant, Aileen Watson from Ceremony Central, scouted their location to get married - by the Little Fawn Waterfall in Queen Elizabeth forest park. The location was perfect and suited the couple spectacularly. They had a hand fasting ceremony before signing their register and having a dram of their favourite Talisker whisky from a quaich.

After their ceremony, I was chatting with Aileen as she was packing up, and Juliette & Guillaume were heading towards the waterfall for some photographs. I looked around to see Juliette hoist her dress, cross the river to get as close to the waterfall as she could. I hot footed over to capture this and could not believe what I was seeing. It was sheer dedication on their part to get some phenomenal photos.

Along with videographer, Dan from Wooden Cinema Films, we continued our adventure and hiked up Ben A’an for a ring ceremony at the summit and stopping for some incredible photos overlooking Loch Katrine on our way up.

The whole day culminated with a drive to Glasgow for Glasgow’s best pizza at Paesano Pizza.

I hope you enjoy their incredible photographs.
