Hey, I’m Andy
Wedding & Elopement Photographer across Scotland
What I do
I photograph all types of weddings and elopements for people who don’t want to feel like they’re performing for a camera all day.
Most of my couples tell me the same thing:
“We hate having our photo taken.”
And honestly? That’s my speciality.
My job isn’t to turn you into models or have you performing all day. It’s to make things feel relaxed, natural, and genuinely enjoyable while documenting what your day actually feels like as it unfolds. The nervous energy before the ceremony, the hugs you didn’t see happening, the uncontrollable laughter. The chaos. The calm. All of it.
I work across Scotland — from relaxed Glasgow weddings, to Edinburgh city elopements, to Ayrshire barn weddings, to windswept Highland ceremonies — but the goal is always the same:
Photos that feel like you, not like a photoshoot.
If you’re looking for honest images, zero awkward vibes, and someone who’ll blend in like a pal (but still knows exactly what they’re doing), you’re in the right place.
A bit about me
I love weddings - but not the polished, performative version the industry sometimes pushes. I care about days that feel honest. About people being themselves. About moments that happen naturally, not because someone’s been told they should.
Couples often tell me it feels more like having a friend around than a supplier. That’s intentional. I’m calm, observant, your biggest cheerleader, and fully invested in helping things feel easy rather than staged.
I believe every couple deserves to have a wedding that feels like theirs, not like something copied from a template. No pressure. No expectations. Just space to enjoy it.
Outside of photography, you’ll find me cooking, sipping on a single malt, listening to vinyl, listening to podcasts on photography or business, out for walks, swinging a kettlebell, or deep in a documentary or series. Great food, great music, great whisky, great craic - I’m all in.
How I work
Think of me as calm energy with a camera.
I’ll give you gentle guidance when it helps (especially during portraits), step in when you need a bit of direction, and disappear into the background when the real moments are happening. You won’t be constantly pulled away. You won’t be micromanaged. And you definitely won’t be told to “just laugh on three”.
I’m organised behind the scenes so that you don’t have to be. I’ll help things flow, keep the vibes good, and make sure you can actually enjoy your day instead of worrying about what you’re supposed to be doing.
Big wedding, intimate wedding, city ceremony, windswept hill somewhere in Scotland; the goal is always the same:
You get to be yourselves. I’ll take care of the rest.
“There aren't enough words to describe just how brilliant Andy was on our wedding day. He made everything seamless and made us feel at ease. He captured everything we wanted from our day, from the love, the tears, the laughter, the family and friends to the brilliant insanity that every wedding has. When we look at our photos now, it brings every amazing aspect of our day back and makes us feel like it was only yesterday, he managed to capture everything so beautifully. Our guests commented that he was so discrete during our ceremony and they weren't distracted by him taking photos which I couldn't agree with more. Having Andy was like having another guest at our wedding, we loved spending our day with him and I will forever be grateful that he was available for our big day!”
