Ardoch Wedding Photographer
Some wedding venues are nice. Ardoch Loch Lomond is on a completely different level.
Hannah & Calum chose Ardoch because of the views, and honestly, it’s hard to imagine a better backdrop for an outdoor ceremony on Loch Lomond. It is intimate, relaxed, and their day was surrounded by the people who mattered most.
Their outdoor ceremony overlooking Loch Lomond was the standout moment. Bright sunshine, rolling hills, still water, and around fifty of their closest friends and family gathered together. Hannah walked down the aisle to Calum, vows were shared, and the ceremony ended with a joyful confetti moment that set the tone for the rest of the day.
Portraits were kept calm and unrushed, using the gardens and grounds at Ardoch and heading down by the loch itself. Everything about the place invites you to slow down, and Hannah and Calum fully leaned into that. Later, we were treated to a beautiful golden hour, with warm light wrapping around the hills and the loch beyond. Easily one of those moments where you don’t need to force anything - you just let it happen.
The evening shifted gears with a proper party and a ceilidh, filling the space with energy and laughter. Incredible food from Regis Banqueting (who looked after everyone myself included brilliantly, as always), great music, and a packed dancefloor rounded things off perfectly.
This wasn’t a traditional Loch Lomond wedding - it was something more relaxed, more intentional, and completely Hannah and Calum. Ardoch, on a day like this, is genuinely hard to beat.
One thing I have to shout about with Ardoch Loch Lomond is this: it’s a non-profit venue. Ardoch was gifted to CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland), and 100% of the venue’s profits go back to the charity. That means when you get married here, you’re not just booking one of the most mind-blowingly beautiful views on Loch Lomond; you’re also directly helping CHAS support babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families, across Scotland. I’m genuinely in awe of that “profit with purpose” model, and I wish more of the wedding industry worked like this.
