West Brewery Glasgow Wedding Photographer | Kirsten & Matt

At the time of shooting Kirsten & Matt’s wedding, it was probably the coolest wedding I’d ever been to.

Kirsten & Matt got married on Easter Friday, and I’d like to thank Jesus for giving them the day off work for their absolutely marvelous affair. It was a day filled with so much love, joy, and sunshine! There was so much sunshine on this particular Easter Friday.

Their day started with prep. I was with Kirsten alongside the inimitable Danny from Rizzo Films, Jenna Clayton on hair, and Alcheme beauty doing makeup. The morning was full of very chilled vibes, and Kirsten’s nephew, Xander, almost stole the show. I’m sure you’ll see Xander further down. Kirsten’s dress was from Bijoux Bridal, and even had a cape!

Matt and the boys got ready with my second photographer, Sam from Madhouse Weddings. Sam is always a hoot and gets the best from the boys. They had plenty of time after getting ready, and so went to the funfair at Glasgow Green for some Groom party shots. I’m sure you’ll agree it was well worth it. Matt and the boys had kilts from Macgregor & Macduff.

Kirsten & Matt’s West Brewery wedding ceremony was conducted by Paul Browett. I always love when my couples tell me that they’ve booked Paul. Their enthusiasm when they tell me they’ve booked him and tell me I’ll love him, and they just know we’ll get along well. They’re never wrong, a ceremony conducted by Paul is always one of the best ceremonies, and we do get on well. All of the decor for Kirsten & Matt’s ceremonies was created by Kirsten. She’s a very crafty lady and made banners, all the wedding stationery, table settings, and even her own cake! Their ceremony included handfasting and an oathing stone.

For photos, we went to the Victoria fountain at People’s Palace, and used some of Glasgow Green, and inside the brewery itself. In the evening, Kirsten and Matt were eager to head to the Barras for some shots at golden hour. We got such great results. Macvintage were such great sports too. They were restocking their shop, and they kindly pulled their shutters down for us to get some photies and gave us all sweeties afterwards :) Oh, and we even had a visit from the police to congratulate Scotland’s freshest newlyweds.

The Brightside provided the phenomenal soundtrack for the evening and absolutely packed the dancefloor all night. A brilliant end to a phenomenal day.
